ElectionSource rolls out two new voting booths
While its items may seem pure red, white and blue, Grand Rapids-based ElectionSource Inc. is going green.
Representatives of the election-material manufacturer, 4615 Danvers Drive SE, are gearing up for what they say could be the busiest election season in history, unveiling two environmentally friendly voting booths made from recycled plastic and outfitted with energy-saving LED lights.
The firm already has sold about 1,000 of the booths, which became available Sept. 1. Buyers include Coopersville, Dorr and Greenville.
Cable news network MSNBC and syndicated television show "Rachael Ray" have purchased models to use as props, said Jeff Delongchamp, ElectionSource president.
The booths are available in Select Duo, a two-booths-in-one model, and Select Deluxe, a single-booth station.
